So you've stood your ground for all your life, never letting anyone walk allover you, so what is the difference now?
Somehow you created a dirft, a drift in your life that separates you from others, just because of your actions. I don't think you realised the damage that this would cause in the lives of others, but then you've never really cared for others at all.
